Fly Eagles Fly week 3
Q) This game was your second shut out in a row, but how does it feel to shut out a division rival?
I'm not going to lie, the win this week was nice. We got our first divi win and we for the second time in a row our team played smart assignment football. This team is clicking, and its going to take a lot to get the guys to slow down.
Q) Ricki Stanzi came in the second half of the blowout. How did he perform?
You know....We wanted to test him out to see what his limits were. We had questions about his arm in the deep game but really he showed us that he could come in and start if we ever needed him too. He threw a pick but we were pushing him like he was Tom Brady. This was his first large sum of playing time since the HUGE BLOWOUT win vs the Cowboys in last years wildcard. He did good in that 66-21 win and he handled this game better. Nothing but good things in the future for this kid.
Q) Your Defense played just as well as the offense. Who are some of the up and comers on the defensive squad?
Our whole defense is on the rise. We have two vets in Jenkins and Beason...But other then that its a young squad. Luther came through this game by causing a fumble, the fumble was then picked up and ran for a TD by our young D end Dallas Post. Savoie also held his own this week while we have Wilson get a injury and he will be questionable for the weeks to come. Even our DBs are young. You look at this team, and the only direction they can go is up.
Q) What message do you want to send the Cowboys and their owner for next week?
Next question.
