Trade Deadline is passed, teams set for the season
So, this years trade deadline is up. Teams are set in stone as of now. We are looking at some major surprises this year. As of now, if the playoff were to start today the standings would look like:
AFC:
1. Bills
2. Texans
3. Steelers
4. Broncos
5. Titans
6. Patriots
NFC:
1. Packers
2. Cardinals
3. Giants
4. Saints
5. Seahawks
6. Buccaneers
Surprising to see the ravens, dolphins, eagles all on the outisde looking in. Even more surprising to see the Bills in the playoffs. Management changes have really shifted this league upside down. Let's go all NFL 32 here and show everyteams's chances.
Bears:
This team has fallen from grace after b2b playoff appearances. New management seems to be confused in what they are doing and the 0-4 start does not look promising. Something needs to be done to change back to the winning culture. FAST.
Projection: 2-14, possible #1 pick
Bengals:
Aye Currramba, what is wrong here. Previous management f'ed the team for the long stretch and new management hasn't tried to tear it to shreds. Some embarassing losses for the bengals this year. Don't know if they can get out of the rut. They just need to bust this team up and go into next year's draft trying to pull out some demi-gods. Or change the culture quick.
Projection: 2-14, possible #1 pick
Bills:
The new shit of the league right now. Lotta hate swirling around this team. Can they keep their superb play up? Experts are saying that their division is getting tough and their playstyle is slowly being figured out, like T15T is IRL. Tebow mainia may come to an end soon, but look for this team to provide exciting games throughout the season.
Projection: 11-5, probable wild card, could win the AFC East
Broncos:
Wow o wow o wow. Offense wins games. Defense wins championships. these broncos need to fix that defense. The O is insane, but the D is "TURRRRRIBLE". Plus reports are that D coordinators around the league are watching the 4th quarter tape against the Titans and plan to apply this to their strategy. Watch out.
Projection: 8-8, AFC west contender, probable champ, loss 1st round in playoffs if make it.
Browns:
The sexy dark horse pick this year. A lot have jumped on their bandwagon after excellent management moves in the offseason. A lot of people like this team to possibly unseat the Steelers in the North. And they are a fan favorite.
Projection: 10-6, Possible AFC North crown, Possibly wild card.
Buccaneers:
Finally the team is coming into it's own. 2 years of long work looks to be paying off. They are the dark horse in the NFC and could quite possibly make the playoffs this year. Everyone outside their division is happy to see the hard work paying off.
Projection: 11-5, Possible NFC South champ, possible wild card
Cardinals:
From absolutely nowhere the cardinals are the class of the league right now. They could go undefeated at this rate. Who knows. But they look well on their way to securing a playoff spot this year. Watch out for the surprise of the league.
Projection: 14-2, Possible NFC west champs and #1, or definite #5
Chargers:
Ehh, Some problems here. 3rd year in a row this team is faltering, maybe its time to bust up the players and find some new shit to roll with. Obviously the league has the chargers found out right now. Try some new wrinkles on O and D. Otherwise it could be a long year for San Diego.
Projection: 3-13, vying for that #1 pick
Chiefs:
Stuck in the worst division in football, this team could go on a roll and eek there way into the postseason, who knows. All we know is that this is the fan favorite in the West. Everyone is rooting for ya. Figure out the broncos and then you are in.
Projection: 7-9, vying for that #4 seed and the AFC west crown
Colts:
This team looks to be left behind in the race for the AFC south this year, but some quirks could easily turn this team around. Some lucky breaks fall their way and this team could be in the thick of it for the playoff, if not, they could be in the thick of it for the #1 pick
Projection: 5-11, #6-#10 pick range
Cowboys:
A fast start, that reminds most of the Bills IRL. The jury is still out on whether or not the team is good. And if we are that confused, it may be a long year in the divison and conference they are in. The NFC is gonna take high records... this team just doesn't seem capable of rolling through a season like that.
Projection: 9-7, on outside looking in at the playoffs
Dolphins:
What the fuck happened to this team, Vince Young went into the toilet. Management dumped him for Terrell Pryor. Now the Pryor era is 2-0 and on fire. Some nice moves have brought this team back to contention, and they look primed for a mid-season roll.
Projection: 12-4, Probable AFC East champs, vying for a bye week
Eagles:
New managment has made some nice moves, but the players are underperforming. Look for them to begin to gel later in the season and have a late-season push in the playoffs. Just hope SuperCam can keep the train rolling.
Projection: 11-5, possible wildcard
Falcons:
OH MY GOD. This team looks supreme on paper. Management is making stellar moves left and right. Patrick Peterson looks like a steal of a grab. Fitz added to him. Oh boy it looks like some raping going on in a trade. Just hope the team gels together and produces wins. Gonna need a lot to get into the NFC playoff picture.
Projection: 9-7, outside looking in at the playoff picture
49ers:
A solid team stuck in a division with two BALLIN teams right now. Maybe in the AFC they would have a chance, the NFC just seems too tough right now. The 49ers need lady luck to find themselves in the postseason, otherwise they too could be riding pine.
Projection: 6-10, that mid pick range
Giants:
This team has come FLYING out the gates. Surpising almost everyone. They look to be the top of the NFC East right now. Just need to keep the train rolling up there in the Big Apple. And don't let the eagles or cowboys steal one from them.
Projection: 12-4, probable NFC east champs, #3 seed in NFC
Jaguars:
The team that looked to be the dark horse coming into the season has just faltered to bad luck. The texans and titans own their division, and they need help to regain lost ground. Hopefully their defense steps up and takes charge controlling games this season and stealing some wins away. If not, it could be another long year down in jacksonville and one bad season closer to moving away.
Projection: 6-10, mid round range pick
Jets:
After a solid start, they are faltering and just recieved some horrible news. Antonio Cromartie is going to be out 10 weeks with a broken collarbone after a loss to the dolphins. The rest of the D needs to step up in his absence if they want to win games, otherwise it will be another long year for the jets management.
Projection: 6-10, mid round range pick
Lions:
After a quick start, these lions are faltering and playing like little kittens. They need to bring back the roar quick, or it could be a long downhill slide for the team this year and the offseason acquisition of megatron will look like a huge waste of time and effort and players/picks.
Projection: 6-10, mid roung range pick
Packers:
Defending super bowl champs are still on a roll. WATCH OUT! This team looks just as tough as last year, if not tougher. Its unknown whether or not anyone can bring them down. They just need to not end up like the IRL packers and falter in the postseason.
Projection: 14-2, NFC North Champs, probable #1 seed
Panthers:
A team that looks to be just sorta out there right now. Dont have a clear opinion built on them yet. They can win. They can lose. Looks like they will just ride on the coattails of luck.
Projection: 9-7, On the outside looking in
Patriots:
B2B AFC champ appearances, but no super bowls yet. Now this team is slipping up a lot this year, starting out 3-3. Something needs to shange in their culture now, or that streak will be in deep jeapordy.
Projection: 9-7, vying for that final wild card spot
Raiders:
This team looks ready to pack it in for next season. Yikes. Run DMC is gone with the new management shocking fans. Hopefully the moves pay off. Otherwise this could be a messed up franchise for years to come.
Projection: 2-14, vying for that #1 pick
Rams:
Can you get more heartbroken? 7,7,3,27,3,3 all the losses this year for the rams. This team just needs that final piece to come into place, and the floodgates of winning will open for this team. Everyone wants to see them turn it around.
Projection: 2-14, vying for that #1 pick
Ravens:
After a SB season 1, and a disappointing playoff loss season 2, new management is faltering trying to tame this team. They need to fix themselves up fast before they fall into the depths of the basement-dwellers of the league. The defense needs to re-hire rex ryan. Otherwise, it will be a long year in Baltimore.
Projection: 3-13, vying for that #1 pick
Redskins:
Really haven't heard much from this team. Unsteady management. Unsteady play. Who knows what to expect out of them. Fix the defense I guess and they can be good, gonna be interesting though.
Projection: 3-13, vying for that #1 pick
Saints:
This team. Man, if they were AFC. They'd go 16-0. But they in one of the toughest divisions in the league right now. Who knows what's gonna happen there. They just need to stay healthy, play their game, and win what they should win. They do that, come january they will be sittin mighty fine and pretty in the postseason.
Projection: 12-4, probable NFC South champs, vying for a bye week
Seahawks:
Eccentric team to say the least. Dominating in their first 4 wins. Then just don't try in their 5th game. They have the potential to go undefeated. Then they also have the lack of care to go winless. We'll have to see what prevails for them this season. Having the cardinals in their division hurts royally. But a playoff spot "should" be a cinch for them.
Projection: 13-3, possible NFC West champ, vying for either #1 or #5
Steelers:
The mainstay every year. Making the playoffs. Minding their business. Building through the draft. Avoiding trading. Doing it the way it should be done. Respect is what this team deserves and has earned from everyone around the league. They look to be intimidating once again and primed for another playoff run. They just have to stomp out the browns fire while they still can.
Projection: 12-4, probable AFC North Champs, vying for a bye week
Texans:
A shocker team this year. The have been flying out the gates. Can they keep it up and unseat the Titans? Only time will tell. But the defense is improved. The offense is high-flying once again. Just get luck on their side and no lag(like our game earlier, it was quite peaceful and fun) and this team will be set.
Projection: 12-4 vying for the AFC south crown and the #1 seed
Titans:
This team is slippin a bit. Management shook it up quite a bit. With Willis out it will be interesting to see how this team can contend. They really need to put down the texans soon, otherwise it could be watching playoffs on the TV for this team.
Projection: 12-4, vying for the AFC South crown and the #1 seed
Vikings:
Management has assembled a good team on paper, but a team that just doesn't gel. If they get their act together, they can be a force. If not, they can be the #1 pick.
Projection: 2-14, vying for the #1 pick
AFC:
1. Bills
2. Texans
3. Steelers
4. Broncos
5. Titans
6. Patriots
NFC:
1. Packers
2. Cardinals
3. Giants
4. Saints
