Ruffled Feather Week 5
Falcons Improve to 3-2
Man Handling the Redskins 55-16
Team Captain boasted a wonderful outing in this contest. Going 14/24, for 360 yards and 5 touchdowns. No interceptions nor sacked for the second week in a row. A weaker 58% completion average, however 142.3 passing rating.
Second year runningback Devonta Freeman had a much better day as he and the o-line seem to gel. Carrying the ball 26 times, for 78 yards and 2 touchdowns. This young star, has quite a bright future.
Once again, this receiving core has left little doubts in the minds of the league of what can happen. Led by Percy Harvin for the second week in a row, catching the ball 7 times for 170 yards and 2 scores. Julio Jones caught 5 for 162 yards and also had 2 scores. Harry Douglas caught a pass for 22 yards and a score. This is the most universal group you will find in the NFL.
We've waited to see what this rookie first round pick was capable of. Well, 2 sacks and 2 fumbles forced. Brandon Spikes and Brooks Reed shared a sack, Ricardo Allen and Robert Alford each snatched an interception, and Kemal Ishmael forced a fumble. Dan Quinn had to say "I am very proud of this defense. We went high risk, high reward, and gratefully we were rewarded. I did this in Seattle, and they are known as the legion of boom. Well, nickname this."
